Executive Chef Neeraj Balasubramanium

Bangalore, May 2022: Renaissance Bengaluru Race Course Hotel is delighted to welcome Chef Neeraj Balasubramanian as the Executive Chef. A veteran in the culinary space, Chef Neeraj has consistently set industry benchmarks to high standards of fine dining at hotels he has worked with. A maverick in the space, he has closely watched the food and beverage industry turn into a culinary paradise. 

Chef Neeraj has a profound understanding, knowledge, and exposure of global gastronomy trends, which will help in elevating the customer’s dining experiences at the Lush, R Bar and Cinnamon. His fascination for creating delectable food and presenting it in simple yet authentic style, gained him enduring popularity. His journey as a chef started in the year 2005 and ever since he witnessed the evolution of food globally. The exposure and learnings he observed all these years enabled him to experiment and curate signature dishes that established him as a name to reckon with in the industry. 

At Renaissance Bengaluru Race Course Hotel, Chef Neeraj will be actively spearheading the kitchen department to ensure smooth operations in terms of designing innovative menus, maintaining customer satisfaction, and monitoring the culinary team while maintaining the Renaissance brand quality. Neeraj is proficient in the culinary operations along with an expertise in European, Ethnic Indian & Fusion Cuisine. Ever since his culinary journey started, he has been associated with brands like The Taj Group of Hotels, Hyatt Hotels from the year 2005 to 2014 and been part as the Pre-Opening Chef (Outlet Chef) at The Chambers, the exclusive business club at Taj Coromandel Serving Fine dining Pre plated European, Indian, South Indian Cuisine and made to order dishes. Was also a member of the Pre-Opening Team of PREGO, the fine dining italian restaurant at Taj Coromandel, Chennai and eventually became outlet Chef of PREGO successfully completing numerous wine dinners showcasing food and wine pairing of various wine makers from across the globe. He later joined Anya Hotels and Resorts and was part of the pre-opening of Yibe and Azul, the Bar and the Mediterranean restaurant. He later joined The Park Hotels from 2016 to 2020. Before joining Renaissance Bengaluru Race Course Hotel, he was the Executive Chef at The Park Hotel Vizag. 

Throughout his culinary career, Chef has always endeavored introducing novel concepts and out of the box ideas in the kitchen. 

Chef holds a degree in Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Hotel Administration from IHM Hyderabad. Over the years, chef has gotten the opportunity to cater multiple high profile and large banqueting events including The World Chess Championship, Ifr (International Fleet Review).

When not in the kitchen, chef loves adventure sports and working out.
