Ingredients
- Basmati rice 2 cup
- Kabuli chana1 cup
- Salt to taste
- Pinch of turmeric
- Ghee 3 tbsp or ad required
- Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
- Bay leaf 2
- Whole garam masala 1 tbsp
- Green chillies, ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
- Tomato chop 2
- Yoghurt 2 tbsp
- Onion brown fry 2
- White pepper pwd 1 tsp
- Coriander powder 1 tsp
- Aloo bhukra or dry plums
- For garnishing
- Tomato rings
- Coriander chop
- Green chillies whole
Method
Boil the chana or chickpeas in a pressure cooker with a pinch of turmeric and salt
Now in a pan add ghee, cumin seeds, bay leaves and whole garam masala, then add chilli paste, stir fry with few drops of water, now add whp yoghurt and mix properly then add chop tomatoes and cook for a while, then add boiled chickpeas, now add rice, salt and other spices, stir fry for sometime and add water cook until rice is cooked in the end add whole green chillies and cover the lid for sometime.
Now garnish with brown onions, round tomato rings and coriander chop and serve hot with Raita.
