Hair designer Alessandro Calvio is coming to Bengaluru for the first time. He will be at niu&nau, the salon at Taj West End, for a two-day residency on 29 and 30 November 2026, taking appointments for cuts, colour and styling.
Who is Alessandro Calvio?
Calvio has spent more than three decades doing hair, with a career that spans London and Mumbai, where he has built a loyal following since setting up in India. His work has been featured in publications including Vogue UK, Tatler, Harper’s Bazaar, Porter and Marie Claire. His philosophy is summed up in three words, “Listen to your hair”: the idea that the best looks work with each person’s natural texture and character rather than against it.
What to book
Guests can book his signature Vertical Cut, a technique designed to bring out natural movement and texture, and his Painted Balayage, a freehand colouring method tailored to each person’s features. Every appointment is personalised, so it is worth going in with a conversation in mind rather than a fixed picture.
