Goonj, Indian Food House, on 100 Feet Road in Indiranagar, has a special festive menu for Diwali. It draws on the familiar dishes of Indian festive cooking, with a few contemporary touches.
What to order
Among the starters are Chakunder Akhrot Ki Seekh, a beetroot and walnut kebab, along with Peshawari Paneer Tikka and Murgh Gilafee Kebab. For mains, the menu offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian classics: Paneer Pasanda, Dal Bukhara, Gosht Korma and Murgh Mussallam.
Desserts take familiar mithai in new directions, with Angoori Rasmalai, Zafrani Phirni and Gulab Aur Kala Jamun. There are also festive mocktails made with pomegranate, rose, saffron and jasmine.
