The first-ever SOCIAL is back. Church Street SOCIAL in Bengaluru, the outlet where the SOCIAL story began, has reopened after a complete renovation, with a new look that takes its inspiration from the street outside.
A design shaped by the street
Church Street has changed many times over the years, from early art deco influences and revival-style homes to the busier, more unfiltered street it is today, known for art, expression and a touch of counterculture. The new design leans into that history. Large openings in the façade blur the line between the outlet and the street, walls are left as surfaces for expression, terrariums sit in art deco-inspired inlets, and familiar brick is reworked against SOCIAL’s original grunge look. Rather than smoothing away the rough edges, the design celebrates them, an approach the team calls “radical vandalism”.

Bengaluru details
Much of the design draws on the visual language of Bengaluru and South India. Retro hand-painted Kannada advertisements appear as ghost signs, the Nazar Battu has a place in the room, a street-side arcade station is back, and South Indian comic culture returns to the walls. LED strips pick up the colour and energy of the city’s festivals.
Riyaaz Amlani, Founder and Managing Director of Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality, said that Church Street was where SOCIAL “first found its voice”, and that the reopened space carries that original spirit forward “while creating room for a new generation to add its own layer to the story.”

On the menu
Church Street SOCIAL keeps its all-day rhythm, from coffee and work sessions to long lunches, catch-ups, music and late nights. The #Khaana menu brings back favourites such as Fully Reloaded Nachos, Ghee Roast Masala Paneer, chaats and China Boxes, while the #Peena menu keeps SOCIAL signatures including the L.L.I.T. and Banarasi Patiala. The outlet will also continue to host music, artists, cultural events and creative collaborations.
