Koko Samba, a new restaurant and bar, has opened on Brookefield Main Road in Bengaluru’s IT corridor, a short walk from Kundalahalli Metro station. Spread across 42,000 sq ft and seating up to 750 guests, it is built around food made for sharing, music and conversation, in a setting lit by fire.

The space

The interiors are by architect Abhigyan Neogi, who drew on tribal settlements, tropical landscapes and indigenous craft. Stone, bamboo, cane, thatch and wood are set against sculptural rock formations, water features, lush planting and woven details, and the design brings in the four elements of earth, water, fire and air.

The experience

Dishes are designed to be shared at the table, with drinks and cocktails alongside. As the evening goes on, the mood shifts to music, drums and live performance, while earlier in the day it suits a relaxed meal with friends or colleagues.
