Rangoli is usually something you admire on the floor. This Diwali, Nutella and Chef Ranveer Brar want you to eat it.
In a new digital film for Ferrero’s hazelnut cocoa spread, the chef introduces the Nutella Wali Rangoli, a playful take on the festive tradition that swaps coloured powders for Nutella, fresh strawberries, petal shapes and a generous scattering of dry fruits.
A rangoli on a crepe
Chef Ranveer Brar uses a crepe as his canvas, but the idea works on almost anything already in the kitchen, from rotis and slices of bread to pancakes. There is no fixed recipe: you spread, arrange and decorate with whatever toppings you like, building patterns as simple or as elaborate as you want.
That makes it an easy activity to do with children over the festive weekend, and a sweet way to end a Diwali meal.
Share it to win
Nutella is also inviting people to make their own Nutella Wali Rangoli, photograph it and tag Nutella India on Instagram for a chance to win gift hampers. The film is on the Nutella India Instagram page.
Nutella is available in 180 g, 350 g and 750 g jars at supermarkets, neighbourhood stores and on quick-commerce apps.
