Bengaluru’s Lavelle Road is getting a new all-day address. Chins Bar, Coffee & Kitchen, the next chapter for the team behind Chinlung, is opening across three floors with seating for 400, and it is built to move with the day, from a morning coffee to a long lunch and an evening out with friends.
Three floors, three moods
Each level has its own character. The ground floor is home to the coffee bar, the first floor is given over to the kitchen and dining room, and the top floor hosts the evening bar with music. The dining room, with its arched windows, botanical ceiling and patterned floors, is the heart of the space.
What’s on the menu
The kitchen covers a lot of ground. Sushi, dim sum and bao sit alongside Asian favourites, Indian grills, coastal dishes, pizzas, pastas and comforting mains. Dishes to look out for include Sesame Greens, a Burrata Ponzu Salad, Ponzu Butter Dimsum, Mushroom Katsu Bao, Thai Chilli Prawns and a Bengali Five Spice Chicken. Those leaning towards Indian flavours can order Ghee Roast, Chicken Sukka and a Coastal Prawn Curry.
Coffee at the centre
Coffee drives the daytime offering. The coffee bar is built around a Victoria Arduino Eagle One NEO, an Italian-engineered machine finished in white with warm wooden accents, designed for precise extraction while using less energy and creating less waste. Breakfast will join the menu after the first month, when the doors will open from 8 am.
Finding Chins
There is also a playful touch for regulars. The Chins mascot is hidden around the venue in graphics, illustrations, mirrors and objects, giving guests something new to spot on every visit.
“Chinlung has grown alongside Bengaluru, and the community we have built over the years means the most to us,” says Prajwal Lokesh, Managing Director. “With Chins, we wanted to carry that spirit forward while creating a contemporary all-day destination.”
