THE OZEN COLLECTION is bringing back its Bodegas Viñátigo Wine Master Class to the Maldives this November. Now in its sixth year, the programme pairs the volcanic wines of Tenerife with dinners and tastings across two of the group’s resorts, OZEN LIFE MAADHOO and OZEN RESERVE BOLIFUSHI.
Bodegas Viñátigo is a winery from Tenerife in the Canary Islands, where its winemakers have spent more than 30 years reviving nearly forgotten grape varieties grown on volcanic soil. The collaboration with THE OZEN COLLECTION began in 2021 and has become an annual fixture on the Maldives’ luxury calendar.
OZEN LIFE MAADHOO: 23 to 25 November
The programme opens with The Submerged Cellar Soirée at M6m, the resort’s underwater restaurant six metres beneath the lagoon. Guests are welcomed with wines aged underwater as part of an experiment, followed by a menu of land and sea dishes paired with wines from Tenerife.
The pairings continue at the resort’s other restaurants, including a Pan-Asian dinner at Sea, Salt & Soy with TRADITION PEKING, and close with Brunch with Shakespeare.
OZEN RESERVE BOLIFUSHI: 27 to 29 November
At Bolifushi, the programme begins with The Sand Cellar Soirée at ORIGINꓱ, the resort’s contemporary dining room. A Pan-Asian dinner at Sand, Smoke & Soy follows, and the series ends with Sunset with Shakespeare, a beachside pairing where guests can meet the Bodegas Viñátigo winemakers.
“Our collaboration with THE OZEN COLLECTION has allowed us to share these remarkable wines with a global audience,” said Juan Jesús Méndez of Bodegas Viñátigo.
Rohit Salunke, Assistant Director of Wines at Atmosphere Core, recently visited the harvest in Tenerife. “Canary wine is a story of land, tradition, and connection,” he said. “This partnership has enriched our offering and deepened our dedication to authentic, terroir-driven experiences.”
