Most Indian restaurant menus stop at the same handful of dishes: a dal makhani, a paneer tikka, a korma or two. Bountyful, a new all-vegetarian restaurant in Indiranagar, Bengaluru, is built around the food that rarely makes it onto those menus. Opened in October 2026, it draws on 18 to 20 regional cuisines and the kind of cooking usually found in homes, hill villages and small-town kitchens.
A menu of everyday regional dishes
The kitchen keeps its focus on wholesome, home-style food rather than special-occasion dishes. Hari Moong Dal and Bihari Sattu sit alongside Rajasthani Malai Gatta, Bengali Bhapa Paneer and Kashmiri Khatte Nadru, the tangy lotus stem preparation. Soups include a Himalayan Thukpa and a Tomato Tulsi Rasa, and there is a Green Moong Raw Mango Salad for something lighter.
Traditional drinks and nostalgic desserts
The drinks list is zero-proof and leans on regional flavours, with tangy, spiced coolers built around shilajit, kokum, jeera and coriander-chilli. Sweeter options such as paan, rose and thandai work well with or after dessert. Desserts include Kesar Bhapa Doi, the Bengali steamed yoghurt, a milk-soaked Rose Milk Cake and a Gud Til Chocolate Mousse that brings jaggery and sesame together with chocolate.
The space
The 40-seat restaurant uses warm lighting, murals and layered materials, with patterns drawn from traditional Indian architecture and the pots and pans of Indian kitchens. “Bountyful is built on memories of the comforting hills, towns and regions across India. It’s a true celebration of regional food, familiar ingredients and unfamiliar dishes,” says founder Pallavii Gupta. “We wanted to create a dining experience that feels contemporary while remaining as comforting and inviting as the food itself.”
