Maize & Malt is set to host Pork & Pints, a month-long culinary festival that celebrates India’s diverse regional pork traditions through authentic recipes paired with freshly brewed craft beer. Running throughout August, the festival brings together eight iconic pork preparations from across the country, offering guests an opportunity to explore the distinct flavours and culinary heritage of different regions.
The festival menu features traditional pork dishes from Kodagu, Malnad, Kerala, Goa, Mangaluru, Nagaland, Assam, and the Anglo-Indian culinary tradition. Prepared using regional ingredients and traditional cooking techniques, each dish reflects the unique character of its place of origin while remaining true to its authentic recipe.
To complement the menu, every pork preparation has been thoughtfully paired with one of Maize & Malt’s craft beers, creating a balanced food and beer experience.
Highlights of the menu include Kodava Pandi Fry, Malnad Pepper Pork Fry, Kerala Pork Ularthiyathu, Goan Pork Cafreal, Mangalorean Pork Bafat Fry, Naga Smoked Pork with Bamboo Shoot, Assamese Til Pork, and Anglo-Indian Devilled Pork, each accompanied by a recommended beer pairing selected to complement its flavour profile.
With a focus on regional authenticity rather than reinterpretation, Pork & Pints offers a culinary journey through India’s varied pork traditions while showcasing the versatility of craft beer. The festival will be available exclusively at Maize & Malt throughout August.
