The Chef Post brings to India the Michelin Bib awarded restaurant Aliyaa from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to a three city tour with the Marriott Hotels. 

Bengaluru, April 22nd, 2023: Established in 2007, Aliyaa Island Restaurant and Bar was the first to open and offer authentic Sri Lankan cuisine in Kuala Lumpur and remain the pioneers in showcasing the cuisine across South East Asia. Located in the Malaysian capital, Aliyaa offers a complete and authentic Sri Lankan dining experience for diners. 

The Michelin Guide 2023 – Malaysia has awarded Aliyaa the Michelin Bib Gourmand. Aliyaa’s menu is filled with authentic, soulful recipes that have been handed down from generations of mothers in Sri Lankan homes. As such, it is renowned for savoury crab curries and perfectly spiced tiger prawns, as well as fiery mutton bones, fluffy appams, and decadent desserts to create an unforgettable dining experience. 

Born and raised in Nuwara Eliya, the famous tea estates of Sri Lanka, Chef Siva has come a long way from humble beginnings to becoming the Executive Chef at Aliyaa. His first cooking experience started at the tender age of 8, when he helped his Mother and Grandmother in the kitchen. Best known for his Sri Lankan Crab Curry, Chef Siva has been with Aliyaa since its inception, more than 14 years ago. 

Through the years, he has cooked his soulful Sri Lankan dishes for royalty, presidents, celebrities, and the slew of loyal and regular guests who come to Aliyaa to enjoy his Authentic Sri Lankan cuisine.

The Chef Post best known for its unique culinary showcases has curated the three-city India tour.
