The iconic hotel adds three more prestigious awards to its repertoire.

Mumbai, October 30, 2019: The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, the 116 year flagship of The Indian Hotels Co. Ltd. recently bagged three coveted awards for its stellar restaurants and bars. With a collection of the finest restaurants and bars in the city – these awards serve as wonderful recognition to our talented chefs and food & beverage professionals.

HARBOU BARR, our stylish lounge bar since 1933, was awarded the Best Vintage Bar of the country by Man’s World in their seminal round-up of the best bars in India. Serving a selection of fine malts, international wines and global tapas, the Harbour Bar has the distinction of being the first licensed bar in the city along with the favourite speakeasy. Easy listening music and fine cocktails form the basis of why the bar continues to be popular even 86 years after it first opened!

WASABI BY MORIMOTO & SEA LOUNGE respectively won the Jury Choice Awards for the Best Japanese Restaurant and Best Upscale Tea House and Café in the recently concluded BBC GoodFood Food Food Awards. In its 15th year, the uber stylish Wasabi by Morimoto offers its guests authentic Japanese culinary treasures from the repertoires of Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto. Known for its delectable high teas and continental dinners by the sea; the Sea Lounge is the café that redefines romance and sophistication.

Commenting on this occasion, Mr. Taljinder Singh, Senior Vice President – South Mumbai Hotels and General Manager – The Taj Mahal Palace & Tower, Mumbai, said, “This would have never been possible without the unmatched dedication of the entire team at the hotel and the patronage of our guests. The Taj Mahal Palace has always carved a niche for itself and chronicled several firsts over the last century. These accolades prove that we are on the right track in furthering the legacy of this grand hotel.”
