The 100-key hotel is being developed in two phases. The first phase covers 37 rooms that are already operational, with the remaining rooms to be added as part of the expansion. The hotel will offer an all-day dining restaurant, a lounge and a rooftop dining experience, along with banquet venues and meeting rooms. Athirapilly lies in Thrissur district, close to Cochin International Airport, and is a popular stop on leisure itineraries between Kochi and Munnar. The falls, set amid dense forest, are one of Kerala’s best-known natural attractions.

“Kerala continues to be a key leisure market with its diverse tourism offerings and strong connectivity. Athirapilly, with its proximity to the iconic Athirapilly Falls and easy access from Kochi, presents an attractive opportunity to further strengthen our presence in the state,” said Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL.

Abhinand Basant, Director, Kshema Group, said, “This partnership is an important milestone in our hospitality journey and reflects our commitment to developing distinctive destinations that are deeply connected to their location and surroundings.”

With this signing, IHCL will have 25 hotels in Kerala, including seven under development. SeleQtions, IHCL’s named collection of hotels, also includes properties such as the one it signed in Anjuna, Goa.
