New York City(NYC & Company) and Washington DC (Destination DC) Tourism, the official destination marketing organizations conducted a sales and media mission in India from January 30th – February 3rd  to promote the new tourism developments and unique offerings

The delegation visited Mumbai and New Delhi, connecting with over 200 travel partners and travel trade journalists. The mission led by Mr. Elliott Ferguson, President and CEO of Destination DC and Mr. Fred Dixon, President and CEO of NYC & Company highlighted the commitment and importance of the Indian market for both cities.

Apart from iconic monuments and memorials embellishing the National Mall, Washington, DC offers insight to the culture and history of the District through its neighbourhoods. DC boasts one of the nation’s greatest collections of riverfront communities including Georgetown and the newly developed Wharf in Southwest. DC’s new tourism campaign, “Experience DC ,” (view campaign video) is born from the organization’s desire to convey the authentic DC experiences.

New York City offers an insight into iconic events like the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop and the signature restaurant week. The tourism board was accompanied by their partners – Circle Line Sightseeing cruises, Empire State Building Observatory, Hudson Yards, Summit One Vanderbilt and Highgate Hotels.
